Comments during the May 17-22, 2005 period

Folks,

I've been thinking that maybe it would be better to have a discussion in a bbs forum but I would want one that is both free and doesn't require visitors to register to post to the forum (but allow the owner to delete troublesome posts), because I hope that you would read the comments and start your own thread. If anyone knows of such a bbs host please e-mail me at elvis_4_peace@yahoo.com.

Elvis, I just have to say that, as someone who never really could get into you or your music (Chuck D summarized my views somewhere), to see you spring into action for the sake of humanity with an ecumenical bent above and beyond....well, lemme just say that my opinion of you now is at least up to dead neutral, and rapidly climbing to seriously not-indifferent.

Almost a fan, El Bean

Elvis, First off, I'd like to say that I picked up your Sun Studio sessions, but I'm sorry man, they are your best work by far. Very raw, very true. That said, the '69 comeback felt very electric, and gave us something to remember you by.

As far as your resurrection a protester against the Iraq war, couldn't come sooner, Mr. King. Obviously you were turning over in your grave too much on it, but let me tell you, you look a lot better coming out of the ground than you did going in.

Keep up the good work. I'm behind you 100%, Elvis.

This war thing is all drama n no one would understand it why and hwo, it is like Alice in wonder land's rabit hole, the deeper you go the more surprising it is. Jew, Hindus, Christains, Muslims every one would get thier own taste of the drama. which comes from these devil worshipers "The Politicains" if they are siting in White house, or House of commons, or Lok Sabha, National Assembly, Shoora or Loya Jirga; they all come from the same school of thoughts. never try to challenge them otehrwise, your house will worth $2500.00 and they will bomb you with $25m bomb. So be a blind and deaf and dont speak.

I know them I worked with them I saw the things which most of you cant even dream of.

The guy Smart0097, Elvis will know me.

Were I a young man again I would gladly volunteer again to defend the

Constitution, even after having already served in two wars. I consider the long term objectives of my country as my motivation not what that of the present administration might or might not be. I know of no administration in the country's history that "got it all right." But over the long haul our national objectives have been honorable and worthy of our support as the fortunate citizens of the United States.

Good thing that you did't say, "Little Elvis" - that was the King's name for his penis.

I have no problem defending the Constitution - in fact, I continue to do so. However, there is no way that what we are doing in Iraq is defending the Constitution. Nor are we behaving in any manner consistent with calling ourselves a "Christian" nation.
