Hounddog song parody from an Elvis fan

(song parody by Gary Acey)

You ain’t nothin’ but a war-monger
Bombin’ all the time.
You ain’t nothin’ but an vote-stealer
Lyin’ all the time.
Well, you ain’t never caught Bin Laden
And you ain’t no president of mine.

When you said they had some bombs,
Well, that was just a lie.
we know you get rich from gas,
But how many have to die?
You ain’t never found them weapons
And you ain’t no president of mine.

You ain’t nothin’ but a war-monger
Bombin’ all the time.
You ain’t nothin’ but an A.W.O.L.'er
Isn't that a crime?
You can't even pronounce "nuclear"
And you ain’t no president of mine.

Remember the time in Maine,
you got caught for D.W.I.?
But daddy took care of it,
so you could still get high.
You've got "Strong Moral Values"?
Now we all know that's a lie.

Comments during the May 17-22, 2005 period

Folks,

I've been thinking that maybe it would be better to have a discussion in a bbs forum but I would want one that is both free and doesn't require visitors to register to post to the forum (but allow the owner to delete troublesome posts), because I hope that you would read the comments and start your own thread. If anyone knows of such a bbs host please e-mail me at elvis_4_peace@yahoo.com.

Elvis, I just have to say that, as someone who never really could get into you or your music (Chuck D summarized my views somewhere), to see you spring into action for the sake of humanity with an ecumenical bent above and beyond....well, lemme just say that my opinion of you now is at least up to dead neutral, and rapidly climbing to seriously not-indifferent.

Almost a fan, El Bean

Elvis, First off, I'd like to say that I picked up your Sun Studio sessions, but I'm sorry man, they are your best work by far. Very raw, very true. That said, the '69 comeback felt very electric, and gave us something to remember you by.

As far as your resurrection a protester against the Iraq war, couldn't come sooner, Mr. King. Obviously you were turning over in your grave too much on it, but let me tell you, you look a lot better coming out of the ground than you did going in.

Keep up the good work. I'm behind you 100%, Elvis.

This war thing is all drama n no one would understand it why and hwo, it is like Alice in wonder land's rabit hole, the deeper you go the more surprising it is. Jew, Hindus, Christains, Muslims every one would get thier own taste of the drama. which comes from these devil worshipers "The Politicains" if they are siting in White house, or House of commons, or Lok Sabha, National Assembly, Shoora or Loya Jirga; they all come from the same school of thoughts. never try to challenge them otehrwise, your house will worth $2500.00 and they will bomb you with $25m bomb. So be a blind and deaf and dont speak.

I know them I worked with them I saw the things which most of you cant even dream of.

The guy Smart0097, Elvis will know me.

Were I a young man again I would gladly volunteer again to defend the

Constitution, even after having already served in two wars. I consider the long term objectives of my country as my motivation not what that of the present administration might or might not be. I know of no administration in the country's history that "got it all right." But over the long haul our national objectives have been honorable and worthy of our support as the fortunate citizens of the United States.

Good thing that you did't say, "Little Elvis" - that was the King's name for his penis.

I have no problem defending the Constitution - in fact, I continue to do so. However, there is no way that what we are doing in Iraq is defending the Constitution. Nor are we behaving in any manner consistent with calling ourselves a "Christian" nation.

How to submit your Elvis protest photos to michaelmoore.com

Dress up like Elvis, protest the war, send him pictures with "AXIS OF ELVIS" in the subject line mike@michaelmoore.com. Michael Moore's website staff will post on his website http://michaelmoore.com/

Michael Moore's Axis of Elvis will put your protest photos on his website

Strange but true: Michael Moore's website staff will post your protest photos if you dress up like Elvis on his website http://michaelmoore.com/. His staff put my photo of myself protesting as
Elvis on his home page today. They are calling it the Axis of Elvis.

What's inside our hearts?

The reason that I've decided to come out of hiding is to ask you all to join me in looking into our hearts to see what's inside. Is it love, hate or fear of the unknown or strangers? It seems to me that all of troubles start when we are not honest with ourselves about our own weaknesses and prejudices. My family and I just saw the movie "Crash" with Don Cheadle and I think that it deals with this subject very well. Also I think that nations (particularly powerful ones like my United States) have much the same problem in dealing with other countries. I hope I can make a difference in this world and hope that we might find it in our hearts to build bridges of understanding between folks of all religions and points of view.

I'm afraid and hopeful for this country and the world in general

I'm alternately afraid and hopeful for the United States and the world in general. What worries me is when people on two or more sides of a conflict stop listening to each other and stop trying to understand each other. One of many hopeful signs is the 10,000 kites campaign has organized a mass kite-flying event for peace for May 20 (see http://www.talkingkites.org.il or http://10000kites.org/ for more info). It's on both sides of the 500-kilometer long barrier that separates Israelis and Palestinians who cannot see each other, but can see each other's kites flying high above the barrier. hopeful sign is that I got my dad to watch a documentary (see http://endofsuburbia.com) about the industrialized world's petroleum dependency and how we seem to be headed toward a point where global oil supply peaks and we are slow to recognize the problem and prone to deny it.

Elvis protesting with his trusty sidekick, Elvis Jr. Posted by Hello

I've finally come out of hiding

Dear Friends,

I have decided to come out of hiding to work for peace and protest the senseless violence of war.
Please post whatever you're thinking or feeling about the issues of peace and justice.

Thanks.

The local newspaper's account of my protest in Bentonville, Arkansas is no longer at
http://nwanews.com but is still on www.iraq-war.ru/article/46930

Check out my Geocities website for links to other cool stuff.
